Brought Together Font Review

As a web designer, I’m always on the lookout for fonts that bring personality and visual interest to a site without sacrificing readability. Brought Together is one of those rare finds—a script font that feels both elegant and approachable, perfect for adding a human touch to digital projects.

A First Impression on a Hero Section

I started by testing Brought Together in a hero section for a boutique online store. The font’s flowing curves and natural rhythm made it feel like a handwritten sign welcoming visitors. It worked especially well with a soft background image, where the contrast gave it enough space to breathe without overwhelming the design.

On mobile devices, the font maintained its clarity, though I noticed that smaller screens required a bit more spacing between letters to avoid crowding. That’s a minor adjustment, but one worth considering when using it for headings or call-to-action buttons.

Using Brought Together in a Landing Page

Next, I tried it on a product landing page for a new line of handmade soaps. The font added a warm, artisanal vibe that matched the brand’s identity. I used it for the main title and subheadings, pairing it with a clean sans serif for body text. The combination felt balanced—Brought Together brought charm, while the sans serif kept things readable and professional.

For the CTA button, I used a bold version of the font, which looked great against a solid color. It stood out without being too flashy, making it ideal for driving attention without distracting from the content.

Testing Brought Together on a Portfolio Site

When I tested Brought Together on a creative portfolio site, it felt like the perfect fit for a personal brand. I used it for the homepage title and project headings, giving the site a cohesive, curated look. The font’s personality helped convey the creator’s style, making the site feel more authentic and engaging.

However, I found that it wasn’t the best choice for long paragraphs. The intricate details of the script could make dense text harder to scan, especially on smaller screens. For that reason, I recommend using it only for short phrases, titles, or decorative accents.

Pairing Brought Together with Other Fonts

Font pairing is crucial for web design, and Brought Together pairs well with a variety of styles. I found that it worked particularly well with a simple serif font for body copy, creating a classic yet modern feel. It also paired nicely with a sans serif for a clean, minimal look.

If you’re going for a more playful aesthetic, consider pairing it with another handwritten font—but be careful not to overdo it. Too many script fonts can create visual noise and confuse the user experience.

Accessibility and Readability Considerations

Readability is a top priority in web design, and Brought Together holds up well in most scenarios. On light backgrounds, it was easy to read, but on dark backgrounds, I noticed some subtle issues with contrast. Adjusting the font size and spacing helped improve legibility, but it’s something to keep in mind when designing for accessibility.

It also performed well on image overlays, where it added a nice layer of personality without competing with the background. However, I wouldn’t recommend using it for form labels or navigation menus, as the detail in the strokes can make small text harder to read.

Final Thoughts on Brought Together

Brought Together is a versatile script font that brings a sense of warmth and individuality to any digital project. Whether you're designing a landing page, portfolio site, or online store, it adds a unique touch that stands out without being overwhelming.

Its strengths lie in its elegance, playfulness, and ability to enhance brand identity. Just remember to use it strategically—pair it with simpler fonts for body text, avoid using it in long blocks of copy, and adjust spacing for optimal readability on all screen sizes.

Overall, Brought Together is a great addition to any web designer’s toolkit, especially for projects that aim to feel personal, creative, and inviting.
